Verizon Wireless customer

I have had two months of fraudulent Cool Bids Charges at $10.00 per month. I called Verizon and was told the company would no longer be able to charge my account and that the charge ($10 at the time) would be refunded. My current Bill once again has this charge. I believe a class action lawsuit against Cool Bids is in order and if Verizon does not take a stand and follow through, they may be implicated as well. Why Verizon does not take a stronger stand against a company that is ripping off its customers is beyond me. I am close to gong with another cell phone company.

Premium Messaging fraud by CoolCellBids

Over one month later, I noticed the following fraudlent charge on my VERIZON cell phone bill: DATA CHARGES: Date: 15 - JAN - 2013 Time: 11:46 PM Usage Type: Premium Messaging Description: PREM_SMS 22036 CoolCellBids (or Cool Cell Bids) Price: $9.99 Same thing happened with other carriers. The carriers are shooting themselves in the foot by allowing companys to bill VERIZON customers for fraudulent charges. How many years will it take to start prosecuting these scammers? Some cell phone providers also charge a fee to block premium messaging. OK. I have no idea of what else to say to enter at least 100 words, except to start repeating the same thing over and over. OK. Hi All, I had the same fraudulent charge and spent a long time on the phone with three different Verizon representatives who, at first, tried to tell me they couldn't do anything about it. Thank y'all for posting about this because I was determined to follow through after I saw posts like this.

I had the time one day to spend as much time as I needed and called Verizon. I was transferred multiple times before someone took the initiative to do something to help me. I was successfully able to have them refund the $9.99 charge last month and this month when it happened again, I started to call and received an automatic message they had already refunded me. I will keep y'all posted if/when I get another charge.

This is a FRAUD and the best way to appeal to companies is to complain (time is money for everyone). Good luck!

My phone has been turned off for the second time thanks to coolcellbids.I'm just a worker bee and I depend on my phone for calls related to my job andnot to mention the doctors calls IV missed.I live far from anyone family included.the bottom line. Is I depend on my phone,IV missed a call that was for a job thanks to coolcellbids IV.

Yes this is crazy. I received this smae data charge on my verizon bill. This is crazy. THIS IS FRAUD. Then verison says that they can do anything about IT. THAT A LIE. YES that can. If I don't accept that services. I should not be charged. EVERYONE PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL JUST DONT' PAY. THIS IS A LAWSUIT.

COOL CELL BID IS FRAUD. SO IF YOU SEE THIS ON YOUR PHONE CALL YOUR CARRIER. YOU MAY NOT SEE IT THEY ARE JUST CHARGING PEOPLE.

Scammers coolcellbids.com

I received my jan to Feb 2013 bill and had a new $9.99 charge for premium messaging for coolcellbids.com. I called the carrier and the customer service rep had me text stop to 22036. I got a msg back coolcellbids indicating they received the text and unsubscribed me. I explained to customer service that I didn't subscribe for this service. I'm getting it credited back on the next billing period. I indicated that I had a $9.99 loss but that will be credited back. Next call is to bidandwin, coolcellbids.com 1.800.235.7105. The ARU wanted me to enter the cell number that I wanted to have unscribed. Since I did that via text I decided not to hand the number over again. I agree why do the carriers allow this type of fraudulent charging??

I just received a message stating that my subscription to coolcellbids.com was being renevwed and will continue being renewed each month. I checked and found two $9.99 charges -- Feb and March.

Have gone through the steps required to cancel service and have asked for a refund of 19.98. Await the outcome.

Did not have this nonsense before switching over to AT&T!! :(

I had the same situation in my Feb bill and called AT&T. go the charges removed and also added "purchase blocking' on my line to prevent slammers.

If you need to purchase enter a pin that AT&T sets up for you and make an informed purchase.

Let me monitor this over period of time. Lucky for me that I scrutinize each line item be it a phone bill or credit card statement and always compare with previous month.

Any significant difference is a Red Flag.

Due diligence pays along way. My 2 cents to saving $$.

Big scam through you cell phone

I get a monthly charge of $9.99 for something that I never ordered and AT&T let them charge it to my account. I believe that AT&T is a part of the scam and allows companies like CoolCellBids to do that to customers. I am going to cancel my AT&T service for 5 phone contract is up. I keep getting texts

I keep getting texts from this company and getting charged $9.99each time. So far it has cost me approximately $40.00 in charges I never wanted from a scam service from a company that apparently prides itself and it's employees on the clever scam that have going on. I need them to stop, how do I do this??? I have never, never subscribed to this service and cannot afford to have them keep sending texts to me. Is there any governmental agency that monitors this type of scam, and if so, how do I contact them???? What can I expect for submitting this complaint??? I hesitate to enter my phone number, I do not want to be scammed again. Thank you.

Big scam through my AT&T bill

This company has being charging me $10 monthly through my cell phone bill with AT&aT without authorization for the past 3 months without me knowing. I found out today through a text message from AT&T telling me my subscription to CoolBids we renewed. I don't even know what that company sells!!!!!! It should be illegal to allow any third party to charge through my automatic bill payment to AT&T. Shame on coolbids company that steals from people. Unreal how illegal your practice is. I hope you all get caught and put in jail for bad business and scamming hard working people.

Charged monthly fee through AT&T

When I downloaded a Hobby Lobby application for a coupon in January I was asked for my cell phone number; I don't recall seeing the name CoolCellBids but the ATT Rep said this is likely when I was charged the fee. I am certain I was not told there would be a fee to get the coupon. No matter how it happened, I know I was taken advantage of! It is unclear to me how ATT is not tied to this since the fee was charged through them. ATT immediately credited my account for the two different months I had been charged.

you will be continually charged 9.99 by them if you don't hurry and change your number immediately! This is an ongoing problem when people download apps and are not aware of the hidden fees and charges.

Was checking my email on my AT&T smartphone when an ad popped up. I hit the "x" to get it off my screen, next thing I saw was a quick view of a "Thank you for ordering" or something to that effect. It was so fast, I really didn't see exactly what it was. The first chance I got, I checked my bill online and discovered a charge from CoolCellBids for $9.99! I have no idea who this was or what they sold. I immediately called AT&T. The rep (Brian Moses) was awesome. After explaining what occurred, he reversed the charge and added a free block on my phone. He also told me this company is a monthly subscription service charging $9.99 per month and another pending charge of $19.98 was on the bill for next month!! I was so pissed I had to find somewhere to complain. It took me seconds to find a complaint on CoolCellBids. Apparently, this is a sleazy, greedy company that takes advantage of unsuspecting smartphone users. Be wary when you see anything from this company on your phone!!

I also was charged 9.99 for a subscription charge for (CoolCellBids) that I don't know what this is. I filed a refund and cancellation online with AT&T which was approved.

This is ***.

The purchases should be approved by the cell phone provider and the cell phone user before being charged for them. That would avoid the hassle of having to go through this donut roll.

I have been being billed for something I have no clue what it is for months!

I have no clue who or what this company is and how they got my information. But I'm extremely angry that I have been being scammed out of a $10 charge for months and never realized it until now! And or what the *** the charge is even for considering I NEVER authorized Verizon or this scam of a company that's up and stealing people's money! The worst part is Verizon says they can't & won't remove it from the bill cause its not through them! REALLY! That's compleat ***, and totally Illegal. So Verizon is telling me in so many words I basically have to continue to pay the $10 every month cause again what is this company & how do you contact them. I have a plan, I will be Filing a class action lawsuit against cool ell bids, and Verizon and my Attorney will advise me on Further action!!!!!!

Saw an e-mail saying coolcellbids was renewing again--bjhfty that's what I have to say. What a scam!! Can;t believe it & the service sounds like ytdtydfufjyfyufyyfyu. they have charged me two months @ $9.99!! Please STOP THIS--they need to be closed & smacked off the internet. What is going on with ATT? When you try saving paper $ someone screws you b/c you don't have time 2 check your e-mail everyday. Zap this company!! I see there r a lot of people pissed about this -- Hope ATT will stop this scam immediately and refund people (Verizon is refunding all their customers)

Unknown scam

Accidently went on coolbids site. Discovered problem later and cancelled option. They still billed me through my cell phone. Verizon was very helpful in blocking this and crediting my bill.
